Enable one-click sign-in

The Connect button asks Facebook to hand over your Page and Instagram account, and Threads to hand over your profile. That handshake needs an app registered with Meta — free, and done once. After this, connecting takes a single click forever.

    Create a Meta developer account

    Go to developers.facebook.com and sign in with the same Facebook account that manages your Page.

    Create an app → type “Business”

    My Apps → Create App → choose Business. Name it anything, e.g. “Newsroom”. Then open App settings → Basic and copy the App ID and App secret.

    Add the products you need

    In the left sidebar add Facebook Login for Business and Instagram. No extra configuration is required in either.

    Paste the redirect address

    Facebook Login → Settings → Valid OAuth Redirect URIs. Add exactly:

    https://world-wide-automation-newsroom.pages.dev/api/admin/connect/callback

    Add the two values to this project

    Paste them into .env.cloudflare next to your other settings: 

    META_APP_ID=1234567890
META_APP_SECRET=abcdef1234567890abcdef1234567890

    Then run npm run secrets:push and reload /admin.

    Threads (optional, same idea)

    Threads has its own app credentials. Create them under Use cases → Threads API, then add THREADS_APP_ID and THREADS_APP_SECRET. Without them, the Threads card stays on “Not connected” while Facebook and Instagram work normally.

How we store what comes back

Access tokens are written to your own Cloudflare KV namespace and are never sent back to the browser after saving — the admin page only ever shows a masked value. Revoking access in your Facebook settings disconnects everything at once.
